By far, some of the best examples of modern mid century style can be be seen in the I Love You, Man sets. The film's main house (shared by on-screen couple Rashida Jones and Paul Rudd) is almost too perfect, but it gets a pass due to Jones' character portraying an interior designer.

I, too, love this movie. It really delves into the complexity of the relationships of relationships. I'd never thought too much about the set design. But I think you've covered it well!
